A message of gratitude

From Nathaniel Binversie

The prayers and support of many over this last year have been heard by our Lord. A providential reconnection occurred in the second half of this summer. My name, and the work we were doing here at Digital Mission Institute was brought to the attention of another start-up non-profit in the area. This connection turned into a month of many conversations, considerations, and in culmination one decision that I am delighted to share with you today.

The efforts to live out a mission of evangelization that Digital Mission Institute shared in common with this newly formed organization will be united under one organization and one brand. Since this second organization already has their proposed work approved by the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend, amidst many other resources that they had well beyond DMI, it was only right to place their organization at the forefront of these ministry efforts.

What does this mean practically?

1. The work of Evangelization using the most modern tools of our time that have been developed at Digital Mission Institute will be launched for testing first and foremost through this new entity to one county where there are three parishes on board and ready to participate in this effort.

2. Since a second business entity is no longer needed, the brand of Digital Mission Institute, and it's official incorporation has begun the process of closing.

3. I will serve as the Executive Director of the new mission entity and seek to hire 4-8 full time missionaries at the end of this academic year.

4. Fully Funded: As of right now this new entity has all the funds it needs to get started. This is a huge gift. All recurring donations to Digital Mission Institute have been stopped on your behalf. If it wasn't for these gifts and your prayers and support, the work prepared at Digital Mission Institute to be launched through this fully funded organization would never have happened. Thank you.

But what's the name of this new organization?

It's not yet public, so I can't tell you quite yet. I guess you'll just have to hang in there until the next email to hear more.

Thank you once again for your many prayers and support.

Looking forward to sending you the next update.

With Joy

Your Friend,

Nathaniel Binversie

Souls are Lost in the Biggest Mission Field in the World

The story of the prodigal son continues to repeat itself—men leave home for the distant country. Today that distant country is in their home: the internet. But what does that mean for families?

Who will back us up?

We have responded to Christ’s call, left everything behind, and headed out to find our brothers in the distant country. But, like the early Christians, we can’t do this alone. We need the ongoing spiritual and monetary support of a team of people back home to do so.

How is Christ calling you to respond to these needs of our time?

A Timeless Process Applied Today

Go to them

Christ modeled the mission - he came to the distant country to save souls. Our brothers have gone to the online world. We must go and meet them there.

Earn their trust

Attractive content and a desire for community leads men to the internet. To earn their trust we must be able to offer what they are looking for. And we must be able to consistently offer it with substantive value and authenticity.

Lead them home

The searcher for happiness finds many empty promises. Christ has given us the road map to the only place that will fulfill. For the good of families, we must share this with our brothers.

Christian content exists

There are hundreds of channels offering Christian content. We hope they succeed in their mission. We are setting out to do something different.

Just like a missionary would do in person, we want to win an authentic friendship first. And only then, begin to introduce our new friends to Jesus Christ.

Who else is doing this?

We need digital discipleship

The most successful digital disciplers online today don’t care about Christianity. They are influencers. And they are discipling souls to merchandise and mindsets that won’t fulfill.

Outnumbered and behind in the race, we don’t just need a few digital disciplers, we need a scalable means to train the multitudes. We need the Digital Mission Institute.

Equipping your local church and community

Digital Mission Institute is preparing to train and equip local pastors, church staff, and members on how to leverage the tools of our time to win souls for Christ.

Too many people live near the church, but never enter. In a world wounded by constant division, a Sunday morning invitation is often met with hesitation at best. We want our neighbors, co-workers, and friends to know Christ, yet our efforts seem futile.

It’s 2025. Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. But the culture is not. It’s time to learn how to dialogue with the culture on their terms. To meet our neighbors where they are, earn their trust, and lead them home to the love of Jesus Christ.

If, like many of us, our neighbors are spending much of their day logged on, it’s time to meet them there. And it’s time to do it strategically.

The Scope of the Mission

The Lord is calling us not only to go in search of souls in the world’s biggest mission field, but to form and equip countless others to do the same.

The internet is not getting smaller. It’s time to launch a scalable response. Check out this video to see just what the scope of this mission entails.
